Hummel is built along the lines of an "old-timer", with
light, but strong construction, long wings for thermaling
and long landing gear for grass landings. As an ARF it is
fully covered and built and only needs a little assembly
to finish. Install the motor system and a 2 or 3 channel
radio system and attach the landing gear and windshield/motor
hatch and go fly. Covered in beautiful transparent Oracover,
this is an easy airplane to fly and has a huge wing area
that is so important to electric powered models. With its
all-wood construction and a low wing loading at 9 oz per
sq. ft., the Hummel will fly and thermal in Very light lift.
But that's not all it can do. This model is very strong
and although it will thermal like a sailplane it can also
do loops and touch-and-go landings.
