We are happy to annouce the release of our new MIG-15 EDF.
This by the way is the same MIG-15 that was seen on the
front cover of S & E Modeler Magazine dated March 2000-Vol.5,
No.2. This MIG-15 was designed by Steve Toschi of Southern
California. We kept the plane essentially as Steve designed
it but added some nice features like a top hatch for access
to the battery and radio, molded inlet and exhaust liners,
a fiberglass canopy frame where the clear canopy inserts
through the bottom for ease of painting, an ABS molded battery
tray and a few others. This is a great flying EDF jet and
can be fitted with a good number of fan and motor combinations
making it a plane for everyone. Ours above is being flown
on an 05-4 turn from Astro Flight with the WeMoTec fan on
14 cells with speeds of around 80 mph or so. Steves latest
is being flown on the HP609 fan with an Aveox 1010 on 14
cells with speeds of around 100 mph. We had a chance to
see Steves plane fly in San Diego and it was the fastest
EDF jet there hands down. So if your need is for speed or
just sport flying our new MIG-15 is just the ticket for
you.
