The 80% ready to fly Elster is a simple, fast assembling,
high quality model that is an incredible performer. Elster
has tapered wings with built-in washout for tip-stall resistant
flight characteristics and lower drag. It features the HN
1033 (thinned to 8%), the latest HOT multi-purpose sailplane
airfoil from Europe. Its fuselage pod is made from pre-painted,
molded composite materials, and its boom is carbon fiber.
The wings are precision cut from virgin white polystyrene
foam. The black poplar veneer is bonded to the foam with
aircraft industry grade epoxy in high pressure molds for
perfect airfoil fidelity and a warp-free wing. Stabilizers
are made from balsa, finish sanded, and factory hinged.
